What sets exceptional leaders apart from others? Among other things, it's unwavering devotion to improving their leadership skills. For those who are ready to go beyond the basics of leadership preparation, this course centers on such topics as strategic thinking, change management, surfacing innovative solutions, creating a learning culture, using stories to motivate and inspire, leading with questions, and aligning an organization for peak performance. The course presumes that articipants already have a mastery of the topics covered in the course above on Leadership Essentials.

Leadership and management are like two pedals on a bicycle: they must work in tandem, with an alternating pattern of first one, then the other being at the forefront. This course is designed to clarify the distinctive roles and contributions of both leadership and management. ►  Team-Building: Integrating Teams using Personal Core Values

Among other things, team-building is about integrating diverse personalities and work styles into a cohesive, focused unit. This half-day program takes participants through a team-building experience which gives them practical, working tools for developing and maintaining stronger team unity and gaining each member's optimal contribution to the team.

►  Coaching and Mentoring Skills for Executives

Today companies increasingly expect their leaders to function as coaches and mentors. Many managers and executives feel unprepared to meet this expectation. As a credentialed master trainer in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Dr. Mike Armour, SLDI's founder, can provide basic level or advanced training in any of the dozens of powerful NLP techniques. Possible areas of training include:

In the 1960s Dr. Clare Graves developed one of the world's most comprehensive models for understanding human and organizational behavior. The model builds on the interplay of eight different systems of thought and value. Over time mankind has created these systems as coping mechanisms to deal with the complexity of our existence.
