We are born with personality. We must develop character. And while success literature often focuses on personality traits as the key to success, in terms of leadership success, character weighs more than personality.

Repeated studies over several decades have shown that up to 85% of a leader's success can be attributed directly or indirectly to strength of character. Two factors determine strength of character. First, is whether the leader's character traits are noble and upright. And second is the consistency with which the leader abides by these traits.
